Rick Anderson
Seattle
Chairman & CEO
Moss Adams LLP
"I never planned on being CEO. I’m an example of someone fortunate enough to have one good thing lead to another. But it shows you that by working hard and being given the right opportunities to grow, you can end up at an unexpected place."
PROFILE
Rick joined us after graduating from Western Washington University in 1973 and spent the early part of his career in our Seattle and Yakima offices before taking on his current role as CEO. He first became interested in accounting when he discovered he had a knack for his college accounting courses. Having grown up outside of Chehalis, Washington, Rick was attracted to Moss Adams because of the firm’s different office locations: from large metropolitan cities to smaller, non-metro areas. He focused on providing assurance services to manufacturing, agricultural, and food processing businesses before being promoted to director of accounting and auditing, director of operations, COO and president, and now CEO.
STORY
Rick has always loved the variety of work at Moss Adams. Whether it’s working with a diverse group of clients or helping lead the firm’s operations, he has continued to learn and grow with each new opportunity and challenge. But it’s the people (both our professionals and our clients) that have kept Rick at Moss Adams for so long.
