Wenli Wang
San Francisco
Partner, Tax Services
Office Tax Leader
"What the firm values, I value. It’s very important to me that we practice our core values.”
PROFILE
Wenli’s career has been a courageous journey: from graduating as an English major from Beijing University to arriving in the United States with just $100 in her pocket to earning an MBA to starting at Moss Adams as an intern to eventually leading the tax practice of our San Francisco office. What attracted Wenli to Moss Adams is also what keeps her here: the people and the opportunity. She realized early on that “accounting was a great career option for me, because you can do pretty much anything in business.” She appreciates the mentoring and guidance she has received, because it helped give her confidence to realize her dream of becoming a partner. Now she has the rewarding opportunity of giving back by being a mentor to many others in the office.
STORY
Wenli continues to expand her comfort zone. “It’s wonderful that I haven’t even reached my limits or full potential,” she marvels. “I know that I can do more and make an even greater impact here.” Her enthusiasm is something she wants to share with everyone, particularly young women. “With the mentoring and training here, you can build a network, attract lots of clients, be successful, and become stronger in the process,” she says. “I know, because I’ve been there and made it happen.” Wenli also appreciates the firm’s flexibility. Since her daughter’s birth, she has usually been able to leave the office at 4 p.m. When she’s not in the office, Wenli spends her time gardening, reading, or traveling with her family.
