Moss Adams Welcomes Brent Laird and Others to Forest Products Practice

EUGENE, Nov. 2, 2023— Moss Adams, one of the largest accounting, consulting and wealth management firms in the nation, announced the expansion of its Forest Products Practice. Brent Laird joins the practice as a new tax partner, while David Antoni and McKenzie Lubeck add additional experience. The augmented team seeks to build on the firm’s leadership within the forest products industry.

“We’re excited to continue growing the leadership team for one of our firm’s oldest practices,” said Eric Miles, chairman and chief executive officer for Moss Adams. “Brent and the new additions to the team will bring quality experience to the firm and our clients.”

Laird brings 12 years of tax experience to Moss Adams. He has practiced public accounting since 2011, offering tax services to closely held businesses and their proprietors within the forest products and real estate sectors.

“I am thrilled to join Moss Adams,” said Laird. “I look forward to working with clients to support their needs and goals.”

David Antoni joins Laird in the Forest Product Practice as a new managing director. Antoni brings 37 years of experience to the firm, including a specialty in the application of ASC 740 for public company audits. He’s also an executive committee member and former president of the National Society of Accountants for Cooperatives.

McKenzie Lubeck joins Laird and Antoni in the practice as a new senior manager. Lubeck brings over five years of experience to Moss Adams. She returns to Moss Adams, previously serving as a tax senior for the firm from 2017 to 2019.

Since its inception over 100 years ago, Moss Adams has addressed the business and accounting needs of forest product companies in the Pacific Northwest. The firm serves over 150 forest product companies in all areas, including lumber and timber wholesalers, plywood manufacturers and veneer plants, pulp and paper manufacturers, remanufacturing operations, sawmills and whole log chippers, timber and timber management companies, and more.
