Fraud is a serious crime. Over the years, we have witnessed many types of fraud perpetrated at dealerships across the country. We have seen how fraud can damage and undermine a dealership. As a firm, we have made a commitment to help our clients identify and mitigate these risks.

At Moss Adams LLP, we have certified fraud examiners with more than 30 years of dealership experience. We also work closely with other fraud-prevention professionals, including attorneys and private investigators. Our technology tools, including eSCORE! and MA√Up, allow us to dial into a dealership’s computer system and investigate potentially fraudulent transactions. We can do most of the work remotely and without the knowledge of dealership staff. This approach has proved to be very successful. As a preventative measure, we also work closely with our clients to identify poor internal control environments and other risky operational practices.

Members of the Moss Adams fraud detection and prevention team are often featured as keynote speakers on fraud at leading industry conferences, including the AICPA’s National Auto Dealer Conference. Our team members are routinely invited to speak on this topic at 20-Groups across the country.
