BiggsKofford Joins The Moss Adams Connection

The Moss Adams Connection (TMAC) welcomes BiggsKofford, a Colorado Springs-based firm. BiggsKofford offers integrated business solutions, including tax, accounting, merger and acquisitions consulting and business valuation and litigation support.
Scott Martin, Spokane partner and the executive director of TMAC, has been courting BiggsKofford for more than three years regarding membership. “Their firm is growing rapidly and is positioned well geographically to capitalize on the Colorado market. We are excited to help BiggsKofford achieve their growth initiatives, and I am delighted they joined,” Martin said.
Chris Blees, BiggsKofford’s CEO, said he had a little help being pushed over the edge to join. After the firm submitted a proposal to a large manufacturing company in southern Colorado, it lost the bid because it did not have international tax experts, even though BiggsKofford surpassed national firms on all other criteria, including manufacturing expertise.
“That was the proverbial straw that broke the camel’s back,” Blees said. “We don’t want to lose an opportunity like that again.”
TMAC is an association of independent CPA firms sponsored by Moss Adams. Member firms are located in western United States and Canada. Firms join in order to access the resources of a larger firm like Moss Adams, while maintaining independent local representation, knowledge of the local economy and other specializations.
“This gave us the skill set of a 1,200-person CPA firm overnight,” Blees said. “We’ll have access to state, national and international tax experts, and we can market our expertise regionally through Moss Adams.”
