Ed Drosdick to Serve Advisory Role

By Karen Halle

On August 20, 2007, Benaroya Research Institute (BRI) invited Ed Drosdick, partner and co-chair of the Moss Adams Technology and Life Sciences Group, to serve in an advisory role on their finance committee.

BRI recognizes Drosdick’s ability to contribute in an advisory capacity both through his experience and expertise gained through long-term focus in their industry. This appointment remains consistent with Moss Adams technology practice’s vision of having leaders participate in the industry and continue towards self development outside of the workplace.

Established in 1956 and located at Virginia Mason hospital in Seattle, WA, BRI has operated as a non-profit biomedical research institute for more than 50 years. BRI’s team of scientists focuses on researching causes and cures of diseases such as diabetes, arthritis, heart disease and cancer.

With a state-of-the art facility built in 1999, BRI has a budget of more than $20 million a year and has 200 researchers and staff onboard.

Drosdick also serves other local industry organizations, including: chair of WBBA's InvestNorthwest 2008 Conference, Chair of the Securities Advisory Commission for the State of Washington, and Board member of the Washington Chapter of the AeA.
