Max Legg and Mark Fitzpatrick, Moss Adams LLP Partners, Featured Speakers at WSCPA International Tax Conference

BELLINGHAM, WA (April 15, 2009)— Max Legg and Mark Fitzpatrick, Moss Adams LLP Partners, will be featured speakers at the Washington State Society of CPAs (WSCPA) Annual International Tax Conference in Seattle on May 1, 2009.

Max Legg, an International Tax Partner in the firm's Bellingham office, will address U.S. Tax Considerations in Setting Up and Operating a New Foreign Entity. Max will speak about what professionals need to know to assist clients with planning and establishing new foreign entities, and understand the related income tax reporting and information disclosure requirements.

Mark Fitzpatrick, a Tax Partner in the Seattle office and expert in the intellectual property and financial reporting areas focusing on FAS 141 and FAS 123R, will speak about The Coming Era of International Accounting Standards: What You Need to Know. "It takes time and proper planning to prepare for adopting international financial reporting standards, which will likely affect every company in the future” says Mark. He will speak about what this transition will mean for companies and clients.

The goal of the conference is to help tax advisors, CPAs, attorneys, financial officers and other tax professionals navigate the complexities involved with international tax issues. The conference qualifies for 8.0 technical CPE credit.
