Mark Tibergien Named To “25 Most Influential” For Fifth Straight Year
Seattle, Wash. (May 30, 2007)—Mark Tibergien, a principal with Moss Adams LLP and Chair of the firm’s Financial Services Group, has been named as one of Investment Advisor’s “25 Most Influential” in the industry for the fifth consecutive year. He is the only five time honoree on the IA 25.
Mr. Tibergien began his career in 1973 observing the investment industry as a writer for Investment Dealers’ Digest in Chicago. He moved to Seattle in 1976 to open a local office for Willamette Management Associates. He then joined Management Advisory Services and served as its president when it merged with Moss Adams in 1994. His particular expertise is in consulting with financial advisors, investment managers, broker/dealers, trust companies, and other financial services organizations. As the partner in charge of the Business Consulting Group at Moss Adams, he is also involved in overseeing management consulting engagements performed by the firm for clients in other industries.
“We have seen a lot of growth at Moss Adams in providing audit, tax and consulting to financial services firms throughout the Western United States, and nationally,” Tibergien said. “While I’m personally honored by the recognition, the large team of client service professionals dedicated to the brokerage, investment advisory and hedge fund business has allowed me to spend more time on strategies and research to help our clients grow, plan for succession and address tough management issues. So the award is very much a shared recognition.”
Mr. Tibergien is a nationally known speaker and workshop leader for business owners, bankers, financial advisors, and CPAs on strategy formulation, business management, business valuation, and succession planning.
For the last seven years, Accounting Today has named Mr. Tibergien one of the "100 Most Influential" people in the accounting profession. In July 2006, Bloomberg Press published his second of four books entitled How to Value, Buy, or Sell a Financial Advisory Practice. His first book, Practice Made Perfect, was published by Bloomberg Press in 2005.
