Most states and many local governments levy a tax on the production, use, or consumption of goods and services. In recent years, states have increasingly imposed—and more aggressively enforced—stricter laws relating to sales and use tax.

In this webcast, we review common sales and use tax issues and potential exemptions for the food, beverage, and agribusiness industries. We provide industry-specific examples for establishing proactive policies and procedures in case of an audit, and we discuss the Oregon property tax exemption that affects the industry.
