Patty Mayer, Tax Director, Moss Adams

Patty joined Moss Adams in 2006. Her focus is providing tax and related tax planning services with an emphasis on not-for-profit organizations. Patty works predominately with private foundations, public charities, and tribal governments. She provides various tax consulting services including: unrelated trade or business income, safe harbors of Intermediate Sanctions, fringe benefits, public support testing, self-dealing, expenditure responsibility, individual grant making procedures IRS approval process, private operating foundation set-a-sides and testing, and termination of private foundation status. Patty is regular presenter at both local and national conferences on tax-exempt topics. She is a quality control reviewer of exempt returns for Moss Adams LLP.

Lauren Haverlock, Senior Manager, Moss Adams

Lauren has practiced public accounting since 2004. She provides compliance and consulting services for all types of exempt organizations, including public charities in the health care and higher education industries as well as experience working with private foundations. Lauren works with organizations in all phases of their lifecycles, from formation to dissolution. She consults on a wide range of issues including public support planning, reasonable compensation best practices, tax impact of alternative investments, lobbying and political activities, unrelated business income tax planning, foreign activities, charity watchdog optimization, and tax exempt bond compliance.
