Rich has been in public accounting since 1991. He primarily serves small and midsize life science, technology, and health care organizations, including pharmaceutical companies, research companies, medical device companies, digital health companies, hospitals, physician groups, and ancillary service organizations. He provides tax and consulting services related to ASC 740 calculations and documentation, tax return preparation, research and development tax credits, international tax planning, state and local tax planning, tax accounting methods, and mergers, acquisitions, and reorganizations.

John has over 25 years’ experience in Payroll, Human Resources and PEO’s services working with small and medium size businesses to increase operational efficiency, improve cash flow and develop data-sharing systems to automate processes. He currently leads a team dedicated to partnering with accounting firms to help build their relationship with their clients.

May Lee, Senior Manager, Moss Adams

May has specialized in federal and state R&D tax credits since 2001, helping companies identify, increase, document, and support credit claims related to R&D tax credits. She has extensive experience in the technology, biotech, manufacturing, hardware, and software industries and has helped companies and business owners save millions of dollars in taxes each year. Prior to joining Moss Adams, May performed R&D tax credit studies at two Big Four firms.

Ray Esquivel, Senior Manager, Moss Adams

Ray has worked in public accounting since 2001. Having specialized in R&D tax credit services since 2010, he provides clients with a deep understanding of the technical rules applicable to each client’s circumstances when calculating their R&D credits. He also delivers large-scale federal specialty tax projects and offers assistance with the defense of these credits upon examination. Ray serves both small and large companies in a wide range of sectors: software, pharmaceutical, e-retail, semiconductor, and utilities. Prior to specializing in R&D tax credits, Ray served clients in a compliance-based role, which involved assisting with federal and state returns as well as annual tax provision preparation.
