Mark has been providing tax planning services to middle-market businesses since 1986. He co-leads the Seattle office’s Agribusiness Practice, and his core expertise is in developing tax-efficient strategies for international transactions, including transfer pricing planning, compliance with documentation requirements, and controversy resolution. Mark also has substantial experience coordinating tax compliance in foreign jurisdictions. In addition, he advises clients on business formation and reorganization as well as acquisitions and sales.
Mark regularly represents clients before the IRS and foreign tax authorities. This representation has included examining tax returns, settling disputes, obtaining advance rulings, and obtaining informal IRS advice. He has substantial experience working with food processors and related organizations and possesses a detailed understanding of IRS rules related to such entities.
