James has practiced public accounting since 2011, serving clients in a variety of industries, including private equity, manufacturing, and distribution. He focuses on domestic and international tax matters, helping multinational corporations and private equity firms navigate all points of a transaction timeline and address the tax aspects of cross-border mergers and acquisitions and tax-reduction structures.

James has broad-based experience in tax planning related to domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, bankruptcy, debt and equity financings, and tax controversy. He also has extensive experience addressing tax due diligence and tax structuring, analyzing the tax assumptions in a client’s transaction model, and reviewing the tax aspects of relevant transaction documents—such as sale and purchase agreements.
