Biography

As a partner in the National office, Rick serves on the firm’s Operations Management Committee, working alongside firm leadership to oversee operational management of the firm’s day-to-day business. His primary role is to assist the firm with practice acquisitions and combinations. Over the years he has led or participated in approximately 20 business cases and negotiations.

Rick specialized in the communications industry for the majority of his career and served as leader of the firm’s Communications & Media Practice for nearly 10 years, during which he helped grow the telecom practice at Moss Adams from a few western states to a nationwide client footprint. Among his accomplishments was the founding of the Telergee Alliance, developing a national rural telecom annual benchmarking study, and founding the Moss Adams Telecom Seminar series in 1997. Rick was a frequent instructor and speaker at regional and national telecom industry conferences.

Rick’s roles at Moss Adams have also included regional managing partner of the firm’s Central and Inland Northwest regions, partner in charge of the Spokane office, and member of the firm’s Executive Committee.

In addition, Rick is the founder of Spokane Hoopfest, an annual weekend street basketball tournament that includes over 6,000 teams, 3,000 volunteers, and more than 250,000 spectators. The largest community event in Eastern Washington, Hoopfest has raised approximately $2 million for Special Olympics and other charities.
