Grant Bonin, Senior Vice President of Business Development, Spaceflight

Grant works at the intersection of engineering, strategy, and business development, and oversees our sales team while working with every team internally to ensure our customers’ mission success. Prior to joining Spaceflight, Grant was the chief engineer of space systems at Rocket Lab, where he created their space systems group, space strategy, and set of technologies and products, including leading development of their Photon satellite program. Prior to Rocket Lab, Grant was chief technology officer at Deep Space Industries, which (among other highly ambitious goals) provided propulsion for BlackSky constellation.

Bob Hodgkiss, President and CEO, Hodgkiss Consulting LLC

Bob Hodgkiss, Colonel, United States Air Force (USAF), retired, is the president and CEO of Hodgkiss Consulting LLC, a firm supporting new and established businesses develop strategies and aerospace industry products for commercial and government customers. In his final USAF assignment, he served as the director and senior materiel leader for the Launch Systems Directorate, Space and Missile Systems Center (SMC), Air Force Space Command, Los Angeles AFB, California. Bob directed the development, acquisition, and sustainment of launch systems required to launch national security satellites at the Eastern and Western Ranges and was the program manager of the $1B+ per year Evolved Expendable Launch Vehicle (EELV) program.

Kirk Konert, Partner, AeroEquity Industrial

Kirk is a partner at AE Industrial and is primarily focused on originating, executing, and monitoring AE Industrial’s portfolio investments. He currently sits on the boards of AE Industrial’s portfolio companies and actively manages AE Industrial’s investment in Belcan. Kirk has also been involved in AE Industrial’s investments in Global Jet Capital and Kellstrom.

His experience analyzing business issues and economic markets related to energy and natural resource development, business transactions, regulation and dispute analyses, and all aspects of the economic value chain provides a significant additional resource to clients. John has also served as an expert witness in more than 60 judicial and administrative cases before more than a dozen federal and state courts and administrative jurisdictions.
