Join us for our seminar, Intermediate Accounting for Telecommunications Companies. This event is ideal for management and accounting personnel with a solid understanding of the fundamentals of the industry.
We’ll discuss the following topics:

  • Industry update. FCC, Rural Utilities Service, and NTIA updates on regulatory changes and available grant programs. 

  • Accounting update. Overview of changes being discussed by the Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) and the impacts on financial statements. 

  • Affiliate transactions. An examination of the requirements for pricing and documenting charges between affiliated entities. 

  • Internal controls. Assessing risk and establishing controls, how to document and test internal controls, and telecommunications case studies.

  • Forecasting. Standard practices on forecasting to assist in grant applications.

  • Leases. A review of leasing changes post Accounting Standards Codification (ASC) 842 implementation.
