Moss Adams Names Jeff Gutsch Partner in Charge in North Bay

Longtime Local Partner and Wine-Industry Specialist to Lead Santa Rosa, Napa Offices

Santa Rosa, Calif., November 5, 2013—Moss Adams LLP, the largest accounting and business consulting firm headquartered on the West Coast and one of the largest in the nation, today announced it has named Jeff Gutsch partner in charge of its Santa Rosa and Napa offices.

In his new role Gutsch will lead both North Bay offices—a total of more than 80 professionals serving clients in the agribusiness, food, wine, construction, real estate, manufacturing and technology industries. In addition to traditional tax and assurance services, the North Bay offices of Moss Adams offer a wide array of consulting and wealth services, including business owner succession, estate planning and personal financial planning (through the firm’s Moss Adams Wealth Advisors LLC subsidiary).

“Jeff is a strong leader, and he’s well known in the North Bay business community,” said Ty Pforsich, regional managing partner of the Bay Area offices of Moss Adams. “I look forward to seeing him guide our North Bay offices toward continued growth and development.”

Since joining the firm in 1996, Gutsch, who is also the firm’s national practice leader for wineries and vineyards, has played a pivotal role in establishing Moss Adams as a premier professional services provider in the North Bay. He was the driving force behind opening the firm’s Napa office in 2012, and he belongs to the local chamber of commerce as well as a number of wine industry associations, including the Wine Institute, Napa Valley Grapegrowers and Sonoma County Vintners.

“I’m passionate about this region,” Gutsch said. “If we can help a greater number of companies navigate their complex tax and accounting challenges and reach their financial and operational goals—and in the process grow a stronger local and business community—I’ll consider my leadership a success.”

Gutsch is active in the local community, holding seats on the Charles M. Schulz Museum’s audit committee and the accounting department advisory committees at the Sonoma State School of Business and Economics and California State University, Chico, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accountancy. He also holds a Master’s Degree in Taxation from Golden Gate University.
