Moss Adams and CCG Join to Strengthen IT Consulting Practice

Boutique firm to augment consultancy and software development capacity

SEATTLE, August 6, 2015—Moss Adams LLP, one of the largest accounting and business consulting firms in the nation, today announced it has agreed to combine with Issaquah, Wash.-based Curtis Consulting Group (CCG). Effective September 1, 2015, CCG personnel will join Moss Adams, expanding the firm’s IT consulting and software development capabilities.

“CCG is a great firm with a similar culture that can help us grow our IT consulting practice and more holistically serve our clients,” said Chris Schmidt, chairman and CEO of Moss Adams. “Moss Adams has been growing steadily, and it’s our goal to build on the momentum of this growth to provide excellent service to our clients.”

A boutique IT consulting firm, CCG offers a broad range of services centered on business process improvement and business process automation. Additionally, the firm develops custom solutions that integrate people, process and technology. Many of these solutions are mission-critical operational business applications with connections to large enterprise-wide systems, such as SAP and PeopleSoft.

“Our clients regularly request assistance with systems selection, project management, development and implementation,” Schmidt said. “With CCG, we’ll acquire a powerful and unique set of competencies to offer our existing and future clients.”

The addition of CCG personnel grows the overall Moss Adams IT Consulting Practice to more than 45 professionals. Mark Curtis, founder of CCG, will join Moss Adams as a partner and lead the new service unit. He will continue to nurture relationships with current CCG clients and integrate new services into the firm.

“Moss Adams and CCG people operate similarly in terms of behavior, collaboration and service delivery,” Curtis said. “I’m looking forward to combining forces and having more resources available to meet our client needs, as well as engaging with a new set of interesting and dynamic organizations.”
