Cybersecurity Checklist for Remote Work
by
Jon King, Manager, and
Francis Tam, Partner, Cybersecurity Services
A record number of employees are working remotely as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. There's an increased reliance on virtual private networks (VPNs); devices that normally wouldn’t leave the workplace environment are more exposed to the internet. Therefore, the likelihood of a cyberattack is increased.
This list is a starting point that could help you evaluate security considerations for long-term remote work.
The considerations listed here should be reviewed within the context of your organization’s complete information security program with close attention focused on the specific threats, risks, and vulnerabilities unique to each organization.
For more details, please see COVID-19 Can Lead to Cybersecurity Risks—Protect Your Organization.
