Pravin Chandrasekaran, BSA Officer, Varo Money Inc.

Pravin is the BSA Officer of Varo Bank, and he has been presented with the unique opportunity to build an anti-money laundering (AML) program from scratch. Varo is a new breed of bank: all-digital, mission-driven, FDIC-insured, and designed for the way you live. Prior to joining Varo, Pravin ran Wells Fargo’s Monitoring and Surveillance Programs, including oversight for developing, implementing, and overseeing monitoring and surveillance programs, tools, and AI strategies.

Sonia M. Desai, Revolut Technologies

Sonia is the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) officer for Revolut Technologies Inc (Americas). Prior to joining Revolut, she held senior BSA/OFAC and global compliance roles at Charles Schwab, Bank of the West/BNP Paribas, The Commonwealth Bank of Australia, and Wells Fargo. Ms. Desai has served as a foreign service officer with the State Department, where she helped shape the terrorist designation program and created sanctions policies with OFAC and other governmental intelligence agencies.

Joshua Blazer, Chief BSA/AML and Sanctions Officer, SoFi Technologies, Inc.

Joshua is the chief BSA, anti-money laundering (AML), and sanctions officer for SoFi Technologies, Inc. He’s responsible for administering all aspects of SoFi’s AML and sanctions program and managing adherence to BSA/AML and sanctions regulations. Joshua provides strategic guidance to senior leadership teams in order to continually increase the effectiveness of the BSA/AML and sanctions program.

Craig Sanders, Partner, Moss Adams

Craig has provided audit and IT security services since 1999. He works with clients in the financial services industry to implement core business systems, internet banking and cash management platforms, business continuity and disaster recovery planning and programs, Gramm–Leach–Bliley Act (GLBA) compliance, and telecommunications and security systems.

Carroll Gilker, CRCM, CAMS, Manager, Moss Adams

Carroll is responsible for onsite project management and risk control. His experience in bank finance, operations, regulatory compliance and risk management spans more than 25 years, with specialties in the review of the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), regulatory compliance, fair lending, residential mortgage lending, and the Community Reinvestment Act. Carroll joined Moss Adams in March 2014 and devotes his time to consulting with financial institutions regarding operational and regulatory compliance matters, performing and managing operational audits and regulatory compliance reviews, and conducting risk assessments and anti-money laundering audits.

Noory Song, CRCM, CAMS, CRMA, Senior Manager, Moss Adams

Noory has been working with financial institutions since 2005. His experience is focused in finance, accounting, operations, compliance, and risk management with specialties in the review of the BSA, regulatory compliance, residential mortgage/commercial lending, and asset quality reviews. Noory devotes his time to consulting with financial institutions on operational and regulatory compliance matters, performing and managing operational audits and regulatory compliance reviews, and conducting risk assessments and anti-money laundering audits.
