Join us for a roundtable discussion of current accounting and tax developments and business issues affecting agribusiness cooperatives.

When registering, please identify topics you’d like addressed, and Moss Adams professionals can lead conversations on those subjects at the event. Some common topics include R&D tax credits, trends impacting state and local tax, and more.

Sessions will be held in the Triumph Salon 3 room.

The breakfast buffet will be offered from 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. and will be held in the Triumph Salon 1 room.

Dave has worked in professional tax accounting since 1986, serving domestic and multinational companies. Dave’s areas of industry focus include life sciences, food and beverage, cooperatives, consumer and industrial markets, retail, technology, and insurance. Prior to joining Moss Adams, Dave worked for 37 years with a Big Four firm.

After completing this training, participants will be able to update their management team and board with an awareness of the latest accounting and tax issues affecting cooperative organizations; describe the latest accounting project developments at the Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB); discuss highlights of major provisions of federal tax legislation either proposed or enacted to date in 2024; discuss highlights of recently released FASB pronouncements or accounting principles and potential issues to be addressed in adoption; discuss latest IRS audit activity that cooperative organizations are experiencing; discuss current practices by cooperative organizations in computing Section 199A(g) Domestic Production Activities Deduction and pass through to patrons; discuss current developments in areas of classifying transactions as patronage versus non-patronage; discuss current developments and practices in determining patronage dividends on a book versus tax basis and classifying book and tax differences as patronage versus nonpatronage; and discuss current practices for Section 163(j) interest limitation including the farming business election out of Section 163(j) and utilizing disallowed interest carryforwards.
