Biography

Bill has practiced public accounting since 1997. He specializes in tax consulting and compliance services, including state income and franchise tax, sales and use tax, excise taxes, and incentives. Bill assists clients with mergers and acquisitions, state tax planning, credit studies, incentive negotiation, and state audit controversy consulting. He is a Certified Member of the Institute for Professionals in Taxation.

Bill has served as an expert witness in court cases addressing state and local tax matters and has lectured on state and local tax. He has also consulted with state legislators and drafted numerous bills addressing tax matters, such as the development of tax incentives to promote the expansion of datacenters and repealing the taxation of software. While he has addressed state tax matters in a wide range of industries, Bill has significant experience in the energy, technology, health care, and retail industries.

Bill’s previous experience includes 13 years in state and local tax for both industry and Big Four accounting firms.
