Biography

James has practiced public accounting since 1999.  He specializes in indirect taxes with an emphasis on multistate sales and use tax, excise tax and other transactional taxes.

With more than 35 years of combined experience as a Big Four partner and a high-level tax agency official, James has developed a proven approach for resolving challenging tax issues.

James’s experience spans a broad range of industries including technology, entertainment, technology, cloud computing, e-commerce, retail, life sciences, manufacturing, banking, and many others.

His services include, but are not limited to, tax planning, nexus and taxability reviews, controversy, audit defense, refund reviews and reverse audits, M&A, and ASC 450 reviews.
