FCC Adopts Rules Requiring Carrier Reporting When Disaster Information Reporting System is Activated | Moss Adams FCC Report – February 2024

On January 26th, the FCC released a Report and Order. adopting rules that will require wireline, wireless, interconnected Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP), and cable communications providers (“subject providers”) to report on their infrastructure status during emergencies and crises in the Disaster Information Reporting System (DIRS) when activated and to submit a final report to the Commission within 24 hours of DIRS deactivation.     (Subscribe for more information)
