Derek has provided a variety of financial advisory services since 2001. He assists companies with valuation and consulting services for tax compliance, financial reporting, M&As, strategic planning, and litigation and dispute support.

Derek works with private and public companies, private equity sponsors, and individuals in a wide array of industries, including manufacturing and distribution, oil and gas, food and beverage, wine, beer & spirits, consumer products, and technology.

Derek’s experience includes ASC 805 intangible asset valuation and purchase price allocation, ASC 350 goodwill impairment analyses, IRC 409A valuation of common stock for privately held companies, preacquisition due diligence, and various gift and estate tax-related valuations. He also assists in valuing complex financial instruments and businesses for corporate litigation and shareholder disputes, including expert witness testimony.
